Position Opening: Intern (Beijing Office)

We are a small U.S. law firm with offices in Guangzhou, Beijing, and Los Angeles. The bulk of our clients are SMEs, although we also represent some Fortune 500s and individuals.

Job Description

The intern position is designed to give a college student meaningful training and real responsibilities assisting our staff with legal and administrative tasks. Depending on the intern's qualifications, the responsibilities may include:

  • Human resources (e.g., assisting with payroll)
  • Accounting (e.g., assisting with bookkeeping, expense reimbursement, tax filings)
  • General administration (e.g., reception, mail, errands, preparing client bills)
  • English-Chinese translation of legal or administrative documents
  • Legal (e.g., preparing legal forms, organizing exhibits for filings with U.S. government agencies, drafting correspondence to clients, legal research)

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate college student majoring in English, law or another field
  • Good English and Chinese language skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good organization skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, self-initiative, and problem solving skills
  • Available for the internship 32 hours per week for at least 12 weeks
